Call for Chapters: Shaping the Dialogue on Child Protection in India

Call for Chapters: Shaping the Dialogue on Child Protection in India 🛡️🇮🇳

Despite robust constitutional guarantees and evolving legal frameworks like the POCSO Act (2012) and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS, 2023), child abuse and neglect remain critical challenges in India. To address these pressing issues, academic contributions are now being invited for an upcoming edited volume with an ISBN: "Perspectives on Child Abuse and Prevention in India: Critical Responses".

This multidisciplinary study seeks to conjunct child abuse, violence, and prevention strategies while keeping the rights and well-being of the child as the central theme.

Broad Areas of Study

While the scope is inclusive of all research dealing with child abuse and prevention, suggested topics include:

  • Legal & Judicial: Judiciary and Child Rights, Laws of Child Abuse, and legislative decisions.

  • Societal Issues: Child Trafficking, Labour, Marriage, and Abandonment.
