About the Programme
The FDP will address the importance of translation in disseminating ideas and knowledge across cultures, as well as its historical role in India's freedom struggle to foster a sense of national unity. It aims to interrogate the evolving landscape of translation studies from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering the connections between history, theory, and practice.

The role of a translator and the debate between faithfulness to the original text and creative license.
The value of translation and the gendering of the act of translation.

Selection is based on the merit of a Statement of Purpose (SoP) not exceeding 500 words, which should detail your reasons for attending, any relevant expertise, and published or ongoing work in the field.
