Meeting Description:

The Central Institute of Indian Languages in collaboration with the Linguistic Society of India is pleased to announce that the 40th International Conference of the Linguistic Society of India (ICOLSI-40) will take place from 5-7 December 2018 at CIIL, Mysore, India. 
This annual conference of LSI is the largest congregation of linguists in India. 

The Linguistic Society of India is a body of intellectuals working on languages and promotion of Linguistics. The society has been in existence since 1929 and has build a strong network of Linguistics scholars. LSI has become a household name among the linguists of this country. The society organises an annual conference attracting a wide range of participation from India and abroad. These events bring together generations of linguists. So far, the society has organised 39 events, and this one is the 40th edition of LSI event. Arguably, LSI events serve as a gateway to Linguistics for most Linguistics scholars in this country.

Call for Papers: 

Abstracts not exceeding 300 words are invited in all areas relevant to Theoretical and Applied Linguistics as well as allied disciplines. All submissions will go through the standard blind reviewing process. The authors of the selected abstracts would be asked to submit full papers. The submission of full papers is mandatory for registration and presentation at the conference. Click the link given below to submit an abstract.

Abstracts written in English are invited for paper presentations and panel discussions. Researchers in Linguistics, Language, Literature, Translation and other allied areas are encouraged to submit abstracts in less than 500 words.
