About the Programme

It aims to interrogate the evolving landscape of translation studies from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering the connections between history, theory, and practice.

Discussions will cover topics such as:

• The role of a translator and the debate between faithfulness to the original text and creative license.

• The value of translation and the gendering of the act of translation.

• Challenges in translating texts in a multilingual context like India.

Eligibility and Registration The program is open to faculty members from any recognized Higher Education Institution in India.
